The entry with the most votes overall will be considered the overall winner and will receive the “Thundering Thurston Award.” The Executive Director’s Award will be given to one entry and will not be based on votes. Executive Director and mom of two NICU babies Kelli Kelley will determine the winner of that award based on the creativity of super hero name, creativity of super hero-themed essay/story and emotional impact.
  11. The “Thundering Thurston” 2015 overall winner will receive prize package from Bambinos Boutique valued at $600. It includes a personalized Kantik block printed play quilt of the winner’s choice and a $500 Bambinos Boutique gift certificate. 12. Winner stories will appear on our listing of Preemie Power stories, featured in our bimonthly e-newsletter and shared on Hand to Hold’s Facebook page.
  13. A different prize may be substituted for winners participating from International locations so that prizes arrive in a timely manner.
  14. Hand to Hold staff, board of directors, and Preemie Power sponsors may participate in the contest but will not be eligible for prizes.
  15. Families who participated in previous years are encouraged to participate again. To make it fun for everyone and spread out the prizes, those who win in subsequent years will be disqualified from winning again.

  17. If we find that an entry is fraudulently entered or we receive a copyright complaint, that entry will be removed immediately without notice.
  18. Success in the contest is bolstered by your encouraging others to cast votes online for your child. Voters may cast one vote per entry each day. You may vote for all the children each day if you want. It’s FREE to vote and personal information is not requested or collected from voters.
  19. Winners may have their photo, first and last name, and portions of the application data shared with media for possible publication.
