Parents face many unexpected challenges caring for an infant who has come home from the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit or who does not survive the experience. These NICU parents struggle with the many needs of caring for a medically vulnerable child in addition to grief, anxiety, depression and post-traumatic stress disorder. The impact of prolonged stress can have a profound impact on the entire family unit, often resulting in depression, separation, divorce, financial challenges and child abuse. Volunteer, spread the word, involve your health care professional and donate to help us reach more NICU parents who could use direct support.
