Hand to Hold is embracing Austin’s unparalleled growth in small business success by uniting local entrepreneurs to form the Charitable Business Alliance of Austin.
The mission of CBA is to raise awareness and funds for worthy local charities while increasing visibility and revenue for valuable local businesses.
Vision
The vision of CBA is a community well-aware of needs for those who cannot help themselves, well-informed of the nonprofits poised to meet those needs, and well-equipped through meaningful nonprofit collaborations.
- Alliance members will cross promote each other in well-defined ways through CBA
- Hand to Hold (and other beneficiaries) will promote CBA and encourage Austin to patronize these charitable businesses.
- A Steering Committee of 5 local business owners has been formed to create fundraising campaigns to be implemented each quarter at alliance member store-fronts/web stores. (i.e. all items in one product line have the CBA sticker on the price tag indicating a designated % goes to a CBA charity.)
- This effort will make partnering with Hand to Hold more meaningful for potential nonprofit partners in this highly competitive economic climate as fundraisers can jointly benefit numerous nonprofits serving a similar population.
- There is a nominal fee to join the alliance to be used for marketing materials, meetings, etc.
- Recruiting is managed by current members to maintain a high standard for charitably-minded candidates with infrastructure to effectively promote fellow alliance members and highlight nonprofit organizations.
