Why should your child be recognized as “Preemie of the Year”?
Jia has been through so much in 15 months. She has chronic illness that affect her daily! Doctors did not think that she would have much of a quality of life but she has beaten the odds. She had meningitis at day 8, and 2 bilateral bleeds. She doesn’t speak but she is trying so hard! Even though Jia is chronically ill, you would never know it! She is always smiling and happy. Jia’s normal is sick so she has no idea of how hard her life really is. She just goes with the flow and is such a trooper and an inspiration to all!
Using three or more typical characteristics of a Super Hero, please describe your child.
Determined- Jia doesn’t give up! If something is out of her reach she will find a way to get it!
Resilient- After 4 spinal taps, cbc draws every 6 weeks, countless doctor and therapy appointments, Jia bounces back all the time!
Incredible- With everything she has been through, Jia is simply incredible! She is my super hero and stronger than anyone I know!
