You don’t have to walk this journey alone. The following organizations and support groups specialize in helping families who have experienced the loss of a pregnancy or a baby at any time. If you know of other resources that should be added to this list, please contact us.

National/International Resources

Postpartum Support International
Postpartum Support International provides resources for loss and grief during pregnancy and postpartum with support groups, providor directories, and other helpful resources.

Bliss: for babies born premature or sick
Bliss provides support and information on making critical care decisions, palliative care, and coping with the death of an infant.

Carrying to Term
Carrying to Term provides information and support for families who have received a prenatal diagnosis and choose to continue a terminal pregnancy.

The Compassionate Friends
The Compassionate Friends provides highly personal comfort, hope, and support to every family experiencing the death of a son or a daughter, a brother or a sister, or a grandchild, and helps others better assist the grieving family.

First Candle
First Candle is dedicated to reducing the rates of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS), Sudden Unexpected Infant Death and preventable Stillbirths. They are committed to educating caregivers and families and supporting research, as well as offering bereavement support for grieving families.

M.E.N.D: Mommies Enduring Neonatal Death
M.E.N.D. is here to provide hope and healing through your journey after the loss of your baby through miscarriage, stillbirth, or early infant death.

NEC Society
The NEC Society is the world’s first and only activist-based, clinician/family collaborative organization specifically focused on the understanding, prevention and treatment of necrotizing enterocolitis (NEC).

Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep
Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep offers the gift of healing, hope and honor to parents experiencing the death of a baby through the overwhelming power of remembrance portraits.

RTZ Hope
RTZ HOPE provides compassionate and holistic support for people who have experienced unimaginable loss during their journey to parenthood.

Sands: Stillbirth & neonatal death charity
This UK organization supports anyone affected by the death of a baby, working to improve the care bereaved parents receive, and promoting research to reduce the loss of babies’ lives.

Shades of Blue Project
Shades of Blue Project is dedicated to helping women of color before, during and after child-birth, including adverse outcomes, with community resources, mental health advocacy, treatment and support.

Share Pregnancy and Infant Loss Support
Share Pregnancy & Infant Loss Support is a community for anyone who experiences the tragic death of a baby. Shares serves parents, grandparents, siblings, and others in the family unit, as well as the professionals who care for grieving families.

Austin Center for Grief and Loss
The Austin Center for Grief & Loss is focused on grief and trauma with the mission to assist children and adults as they move from loss to life, transforming their grief through therapy, support, education, training and consultation.

Bo’s Place
Bo’s Place exists to offer support and community to those who have experienced the death of a loved one.

Healing Hearts: Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Texas
The Healing Hearts program at RMHC of Central Texas offers bereavement support and burial assistance for families in Central Texas, including the HOPE Seminar, a free six-week support group for families experiencing perinatal and infant loss.
