About the guest
Candace Blair Cronin, PhD, is a full-time working mom of four teenagers. Candace is an industrial-organizational psychologist who has consulted primarily for the Federal government and some private sector clients for more than 25 years. Her life’s passion is advocating for children in the child welfare system and informally mentoring families who wish to be foster parents and/or adopt children. She has served in a volunteer capacity across a spectrum of child welfare activities from being a foster parent for over 6 years, providing respite care for families fostering, being an adoptive mom to two of her four children, conducting licensing studies and interviews for families seeking to becoming foster and/or adoptive parents, serving as a Board member for Austin Angels, and most recently serving as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) for children in foster care.
