Preemie Power Team Fundraiser Sample Screen Shot New this year, Hand to Hold invites NICU families and the medical professionals who love them to create a Preemie Power Fundraising Team in support of the Preemie Parent Empowerment Project. Funds raised through Preemie Power will provide vital resources to families during and after a NICU stay including information about Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, peer-to-peer support matching, educational videos, support groups and ongoing education about the challenges many preemies face. If you, your family or workplace have been affected by premature birth or loss and would like to make a difference for other families, we invite you to participate in this meaningful campaign.

How Does the Team Fundraiser Work?

Participants in the Preemie Power Team Fundraiser create a personal fundraising page. This page is customizable using simple tools that allow you to add photos, a video and your personal story. From this page, you can set a fundraising goal (complete with working thermometer!) and access a Participant Center which provides email templates and tools to contact friends and family for support.

Using these tools, you can…

Raise money in honor or memory of a precious child or other family member who cares deeply about this cause.
Add more volunteer fundraisers to your team, thereby increasing the number of people you can connect with and money you can raise.
Start a team on behalf of your company or even divisions/departments within your organization.
Send out requests using pre-written templates that you may customize to request support from your contacts.
Upload your e-mail address book to your Participant Center to make reaching out to your friends and family easier.
Keep track of who you’ve contacted and which donations have come in. If you’re a team captain, you can send notes of encouragement to your volunteer team fundraisers!
Make your campaign completely private. You may also allow people to find you if they know your Team name or if you post your Team’s page within your Preemie Power Essay/Photo Contest application.

Contest Rules

The Preemie Power Team Fundraiser is also a contest and will be open to participants and organizations on October 1, 2011. It will run from October 1, 2011 to midnight on November 9, 2011 Central Time.
The team who raises the most by midnight on November 9, 2011 will receive a prize package valued at $500. Winners will be announced online and at the
Preemie Power Family Celebration. Winners need not be present to win.
The personal fundraising pages will remain online until December 31, 2011 to allow for any donations that may be submitted after the deadline or in the event that teams would like to solicit gifts surrounding Thanksgiving and Winter holidays.
There are no limitations on who may participate and win.
All funds raised will be used to fund Hand to Hold’s Preemie Parent Empowerment Project to advance programs and services to help families who have had a child in the NICU or a loss.
