Join Hand to Hold for our Third Annual Preemie Power Family Celebration at the Dell Diamond’s United Heritage Center at 5 pm on Friday, August 24, 2012 in Round Rock, Texas. Hand to Hold is kicking off Preemie Power season with a family celebration designed to honor all NICU heroes for their achievements, their families and the many healthcare providers who have witnessed amazing displays of resilience and strength.
Fun. Fun. Fun.
The free celebration will feature a super hero theme, ball park buffet and fun activities for all the once-tiny heroes of the NICU and their siblings. Make cool super hero arts and crafts, be entertained by favorite balloon sculptor Tony Maxironi, dig up some fun in the Toddler Zone, get your photo made with a Super Hero, and dance and groove to the cupcake walk. Hotdogs, ice cream and other ball park fare will be served to fill hungry tummies. And, special Preemie Power t-shirts for adults and kids will be on hand while supplies last – thanks to our generous sponsors.
Stay for the Ball Game
Families are invited to stay for the Round Rock Express game which begins at 7 pm and the fireworks after the game. Hand to Hold’s Founder Kelli Kelley will be interviewed on the field, and special activities such as the first ball toss thrown by former Preemie Power winners are in the works! Families can enjoy watching the ballgame from the comfort of our event room or grab a seat in our reserved block. Seat tickets in the stands are first come, first serve. Come out and join us for all or just part of the celebration. Please RSVP so we know you’re coming!
Not in Central Texas and Still Want to Participate?
Preemie Power will continue later this fall with a National Photo and Essay Contest which invites families to share their super hero’s photo and story to bring hope and inspiration to those in the NICU now and in the future. The fun contest also features a grand prize for the top overall winner to Disneyland in addition to several prize categories.
