Feeling Bah HumBug about the holidays this year?  Join us Wednesday, December 11th at 11:30 am CST on Hand to Hold’s Facebook Wall as we look at ways to celebrate the holidays and enjoy meaningful family time even when you hear the dreaded word “quarantine.”  Emma Trenti Paroli, NICU mom of a 29-weeker, co-author of Preemies: the Essential Guide for Parents of Premature Babies and co-creator of the new IOS app MyPreemie, will join us with advice on how to cope with an extended stay at home to reduce your child’s chances of infection and rehospitalization.

Topics will include:

  • Ways to include family without being in the same house
  • Why being under quarantine can bring opportunities to begin new traditions
  • How choosing to celebrate this holiday with just you and your newest blessing(s) can be a peaceful and reflective opportunity to enjoy some much needed and deserved downtime.

We will also provide tools and discuss ways to help family understand the importance of your choice to avoid large gatherings, as well as things to keep in mind if you begin feeling down when seeing all the posts and pictures online of family gatherings you might be missing out on.  If you would like to ask a question in advance, send us a private message on our Hand to Hold FB Wall.
