In July the Austin community came together to GLOW for a Cause with Hand to Hold and Jazzercise Cedar Park Lakeline Fitness Center. Attendees and instructors showed up in their brightest attire, covered themselves with glow paint and glow necklaces, and danced their hearts out.
The Jazzercise community is one that is always ready to support one another and give back. Jazzercise Lakeline owner Chrissy Hardin and her instructors pledged to focus their philanthropy time on children and families this year, and they kicked it off with this colorful, fun-filled event benefiting Hand to Hold.
It’s a relationship that came full circle for Hand to Hold Marketing Director Krystle Gervais, mom to Benson, a 34-weeker, and avid Jazzercise attendee, as she turned one of her favorite pastimes into an opportunity to help ensure families continue to receive the peer support she and her family did while in the NICU.
More than 30 people attended the GLOW party and raised just over $900 that will be immediately put to use for NICU and NICU graduate families in need of support. It was a great night to celebrate the mission of the organization and bring together members of the community.
Events like GLOW for a Cause are easy ways for businesses to give back to their local communities and bring people together for something fun, exciting and new. A huge thanks to Jazzercise Cedar Park Lakeline Fitness Center for hosting us and letting us GLOW!
