I am a single mother, and found out I was pregnant with twins while in college in Tennessee. I needed my family’s help so I moved back home to Las Vegas.
Everything was going great until November 6, 2011. I woke up that Sunday morning spotting. I had a doctor’s appointment on that next Wednesday, so I was debating just waiting, because it wasn’t a lot of blood. But something told me to just go to the emergency room!
I went and they had to call a high risk doctor. When she came she did an ultrasound and told me I was already 4 cm dilated… and that I was having contractions. They started me on magnesium to stop my contractions… that made me vomit! When I vomited, baby a’s sac ruptured.
I ended up having to be transferred to a Level III hospital. I was able to hold my babies in for 2 weeks, but on November 19th, my contractions started back up and my son’s heartbeat was dropping. They did an emergency c-section. Sadly, my son ended up passing away 28 minutes after birth. They said his throat was too small and they had issues putting the tube down.
