Our NICU survivors have come a long way, and what better way to honor that than by sharing their story with the world?
In 2010 Hand to Hold initiated the Preemie Power Photo & Essay Contest to give families a way to celebrate their amazing super heroes and all of the challenges they have overcome and the milestones they’ve accomplished in their young lives. In 2014, families from 32 states and and three continents shared personal and inspiring stories about how their premature and medically fragile infants continually demonstrate super hero qualities while facing a range of physical and medical challenges.
Preemie Power is much more than a photo and essay contest. It is a celebration of amazing kids and their families who have faced tremendous obstacles and conquered them with love, faith and sheer determination. — Hand to Hold Executive Director and Co-Founder Kelli Kelley (read more about why the Preemie Power Contest means so much)
